This term, Jim and I are the J.6 Oral exam examiner. I was exhausted to listen to 200 reading alouds in 3 days. z...z...z.
Before the exam, I taught you to read aloud the 5 jounrals in the textbook. I asked everyone of you to stand up and read aloud the text (Some of you didn't take the iniative to do it and actually you missed the golden chance). At the same time, I recorded your strength and weakness and gave you marks. I also gave you comments and asked you to go home and practise more. In fact, I was furious that you didn't practise at home just like last year.....
Of course I didn't tell you that I am the examiner this year. Maybe you were shocked when you knew that I was the examiner. Out of my expectation, most of you did well in reading aloud. You could pronounce the words accurately and with good intonation and stress. I guessed that some of you practised hard at home and that's why you could read fluently. How's your performance in Interview Questions with Jim? If you want to know that, come and ask me by yourself!
For those who paid a lot of effort in practising the oral exam, you deserved to get a satisfactory score. I think I took an important role to help you get the score too. Since I issued the preparation note to inform your parents, taught you how to read the words, gave you opportunity to read aloud in class, gave you marks and comments, so you can get improvement and be confident to do well in the exam. As I did a lot for you, will you say 'Thank You' to me?
