St. Andrew's Church+Kowloon Park= A Fantastic Day for US

Today I have to cancel the English remedial lesson and all your lessons because I needed to take your classmates for the Solo verse speaking competition. The competition started at 9.30 and we arrived at Jordan MTR station at 8.50. It was too early to get there. Therefore, we went to Kowloon Park and had the last practice. At about 9.00, we started moving and we went the the church hall. The competition lasted for about 3 hours. There were 60 participants in this class. It was really boring to listen to the same poem for 60 times. I just remembered how I suffered from listening to 200 reading aloud Oral Exam this term!!

We spent the whole morning and afternoon together and we had a great time. Although none of them got a prize, I knew you tried your best to do it. Prizes for me are nothing, the most important thing is that you take it serious and you tried your best to perform. That's already enough! I just want everyone of you enjoy reading poems and listen to others' reading, then you'll know there are many GENIUS in this world. Edmund, Marco, Steven, congratulations to you ALL!!! I hope you'll continue to join the Speech Festival in your future secondary school.

Roy, I won't use the word 'good' and 'bad' to describe the result. I think I satisfied with their performance. The most important point is they all enjoyed the competition.
Katherine, why don't you join the English Speech Festival this year?
Eva, I think they learnt a lot and gained a lot.
Martin, yes, we had a GREAT day. There are many genius in this world!
Ka Wai, I think your classmates deserved to have the result and my praise.
Edmund, remember once you get into a secondary school, you should continue to join the Speech Festival.
Tiani, you're right. The competition is a meaningful event. You can listen to other's presentation of the poem and learned a lot.
Steven, if you tried your best to do it, that's enough. I know 'You'll do better than the best', right?
Athan, why don't you join the English Speech Festival this year?

Victor, why don't you join the Speech Festival this year? Through reading the poem in front of a crowd of people, you will be more confident. I will teach you pronunciation, intonation and gestures. You can gain a lot through the training process!

Alex, that's OK for me to listen to 200 reading alouds. I am not very poor, so a little bit bored.
Candy, you will see many excellent performers in the competition. You can learn a lot.
Marco, I know you were happy with your marks. But actually, I think if you practise, you can do better and get higher marks. And you can get a prize too. But because you didn't work very hard, so...
Janice, prizes are not very important. I know it's better for you to enjoy the poem and enjoy the time on the stage!

Maggie, I think results are not important. They performed well and tried their best to do it.
Jordan, why don't you join the English Speech Festival?
Mandy, you had the competition already? How's that?
Jennifer, if you can relax more and enjoy the poem, you can do better!
Cindy, your classmates didn't win. It's very easy to remember the lines. Once you try it, you will like it!
Joey, we learned a lot in the competition.
Samuel, why don't you join the competition this year?
Jessica, it's a little boring. But we really learned a lot through listening to others presentation.
Kin Ming, I am glad to be Edmund, Marco and Steven's teacher too!
Yuki, I think you can write more!

Miss Chung

I have known the result already. It wasn't bad. I think it is extremely great ! Actually their result half of them are come from your effort. I think if I need to listen for the Oral Exam 200 times. I will be so discontented as it is really boring! I hope the one who are going to the poem competition (includes me )will get good result as them

Lots of love ,
Solomon

Solomon, I haven't said that result is bad. I appreciate their efforts and I think the result is fine. Actually, the school just asks each teachtr to take at least 3 students. But I took 13 of you because I know you really want to join the competition. I don't want to say 'NO!' to you and upset you. Anyway, try your best to do it this time.
Christina, even your classmates don't say anything to me, that's OK. I just want them to learn something!
Jeremy, you are right that it's hard to practise frequently. For them, they just came and see me three times a week. But for me, I have no recess, no lunch.....
Curtis, I didn't feel sad about the result. You will be the Champion? Are you sure? You didn't come and practise for a long time. And your mum called me today and said you may have to join the athletics competition on the same day.....
Eric, the result is fine.
Ray, I didn't join the competition. It's your classmates joined the competition!
