How's your Pre-Secondary One Exam?

Hi Boys and Girls,

Today is your first day of your summer vacation and you have to go to YOUR secondary school to take the Pre-Secondary One Exam. Yes, you are no longer the students of YCPS (HWR) anymore, you are no longer my students anymore! How's the exam today? Did you do well? I hope all have you have tried your best to take the exam today. By the way, did you read the previous post about singing karaoke? I hope you can leave a comment no matter you join it or not. I just want you to show me that you read that post.

Yesterday, some of you and your parents stayed after school to talk to me and say 'Thank You' to me. I was so surprised and touched to see you and your parents saying those words to me. I think I just do the right thing and carry out my responsibility only. As I told you, 'someone' said he thinks I am not caring enough as he saw me punishing Samuel in the classroom last time. Actually, I just asked him to come out and explained the answers. But he did nothing and so I continued the lesson. He said some students told him that they don't like me. I said it's normal that not every student likes me. At that moment, I really want to tell him how you like/love me, how you gave me the presents and lovely cards, how you left the comment on this blog. You did so many things for me and it means that you don't like me? I was upset for a while and I let him finish 'his talk'. I let him say 'what he wants to say'. I was not trying to explain anything as I thought 'he already got his answer'. Well, I am not asking you to do the same thing as me when sometimes you are not satisfied with something. That's my situation only!

今天是你們第一天的暑假而你們就要到你們自己的中學應考中一入學分班試, (我不知道中文名字是不是這個, 不要緊, 你們明白便可以了!) 是呀, 你們由現在開始已經不再是油天的學生, 亦不再是我的學生了! 你們的身份是中學生了! 今天的考試順利嗎? 你們有沒有盡力去做呢? 我想你們今天必定有盡力去做, 沒有忘記我對你們的教誨吧! 你們當中有人還未回應上一則關於卡啦ok活動的blog, 無論你們參加與否, 我都希望你會留言, 起碼讓我知道你知道這件事的存在嘛!

昨天放學後, 你們有些同學和你們的家人在操場等我, 然後和我談天和說多謝, 我真的覺得很意外和感動, 一直以來, 我只是做一些我認為正確的事和做我應該做的事, 我只是盡一個老師的責任吧, 我沒想過要任何人多謝我 (包括你們), 我只希望你們學英文學得好, 去到好中學, 孝順父母, 做一個天主的好兒女, 父母的好孩子. 我萬萬想不到, 我做的東西感動了你們. 我在這兩年陪伴你們成長已經是我的榮幸. 我昨天告訴你們, '有一個人'上星期對我說覺得我對學生沒有愛心, 覺得我不愛錫學生. 他要我告訴他當天發生的事, 我說有同學對TSA答案時不停說話, 擾亂課堂秩序, 我勸告多次亦無效, 我眼見他這麼喜歡說話, 我便邀請他和同學分享和講解他的答案, 怎知他出來後甚麼也沒有說, 我不想浪費所有同學時間, 所以我繼續講解答案, 是他自己走回座位拿習作和筆校對, 不是我罰他這樣做. 他當然說我的方法不對, 又說應該先罰他站, 再罰他留堂.....坦白說, 我認為我的方法很有效, 他一出來後, 人人也靜下來, 而且罰留堂和說話又有甚麼直接關係呢? 他喜歡說, 我就立刻給他機會說個夠, 一個既簡單又直接的方法, 我看不到有甚麼不妥當的地方. 但以上的說話我當然沒有對'那個人'說, 反正他一早已認為我是一個對學生沒有愛心的人, 我多說亦沒有用, '那個人'愛怎樣說就怎樣說吧! 認識我的學生也清楚我是一個怎樣的人, 我上課和下課是兩個人, 上課時我要求的是認真和秩序, 下課後你們愛和我玩也可以, 而且我對事不對人, 只要你做得好, 我便會稱讚, 做得不好, 我便會提醒. 一下課後便會將所有東西抹掉, 難道我會一輩子恨我的學生嗎? 我並不是一個無聊的人. 因此我昨天問你們, 你們是不是很討厭我, 覺得我不愛你們, 幸好大家給我的反應很正面, 大家都認為我是一位不錯的老師, 我是用心去教好大家, 聽到你們的說話, 我的心也很'甜', 哈哈! 別人即管說'他'喜歡的話, 我繼續做我認為對學生好的事. 我不是告訴大家要像我一樣不向別人解釋, 我當天任由他自說自話, 不代表我要認同他, 不代表他是有道理, 只代表我不想和他爭辯, 我明白自己的立場和原則, 已經很足夠, 我不用要求人人也認同我. 我清楚自己在做甚麼, 我的學生(你們)明白我做的一切都為你們著想就可以了. 但我不是用了消極的方法去解決問題, 我的方法也很積極, 我的心永遠都想著學生, 為他們去做所有事便足夠了. 當然, 有時候我們不能含冤, 適當時候都要向別人解釋, 但你們也應該明白到, '那時'我解釋甚麼, '那人'也不會聽吧!
